TWO prisoners are accused of having illicit mobile phones while locked up at Greenock jail.
It is alleged that inmates James Haughie, 38, and Craig Convery, 45, were in possession of the devices on October 2 last year at Gateside prison.
Haughie is also charged with having an unauthorised sim card, while Convery is said to have been found with cocaine on the same date and etizolam in May last year.
Both are remanded in custody and were not brought to court for a recent calling of the case, however, solicitor Gerry Keenan said there was 'some prospect of resolution'.
Proceedings have been continued to a further pre-trial hearing next week.
