A FAMOUS tribute band who played the the iconic CBGB music club in New York are heading for Greenock.

Bootleg Blondie will be on stage at The Albany on Saturday October 26. 

Founded in 2001, the band have performed with two original Blondie members, drummer Clem Burke, and songwriter, bass player, and author Gary Valentine. 

The band have been praised by Debbie Harry and Chris Stein, and were thanked on Blondie's 11th album Pollinator. 

Bootleg Blondie released their original song Enigma Soho Au Go Go to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the release of iconic Blondie album Parallel Lines.
