Overnight on July 4, there will be a total closure of the westbound M8 carriageway between Paisley St James and Erskine, as well as single lane closures between Erskine and West Ferry.
During this time, motorway traffic will follow a diversion via Greenock Road.
Amey says the resurfacing will benefit vehicles using the route daily by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for extensive maintenance in the future.
Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles during the works.
