Tomorrow, you can vote Labour for change and turn the page on 14 years of Tory Government and 17 years of the SNP.
This is an opportunity that people across Inverclyde and Renfrewshire West can’t afford to miss.
It means electing me as your Labour MP to work with the next Government to improve our community, fight for our NHS, and bring more jobs to our area.
It is a chance to restore decency and integrity to public service and return politics to the service of working people.
Labour will:
1. Deliver economic stability to keep taxes, mortgages and inflation as low as possible.
2. Cut NHS waiting times by funding 160,000 additional appointments in NHS Scotland, paid for by cracking down on tax cheats.
3. Set up GB Energy, a publicly owned power company, headquartered in Scotland, that will cut energy bills, funded by a windfall tax on oil and gas giants.
4. Make work pay with a New Deal for Working People that will ban exploitative zero-hour contracts, end fire and rehire and deliver a genuine living wage.
5. Create jobs and opportunities for young people by improving access to apprenticeships and creating 69,000 Scottish jobs in the energy industry.
6. Maximise Scotland’s influence with a Labour MP working with the next Labour Government.
As your MP, I will always be honest about the challenges we face and I will work every day to make our community the best place to live, work and raise your family.
The Greenock Telegraph has invited General Election candidates standing to represent Inverclyde and Renfrewshire West to share their views on key topics relevant to the area.
Today is their final column and the candidates' last chance to tell voters why they should vote for them.
Polls open for the UK General Election at 7am on Thursday, July 4.
