A SHOPLIFTING accused charged with targeting two Greenock stores on consecutive days is set for trial at the sheriff court.

Fiona Rae is charged with stealing a quantity of beauty and household items from the town's Tesco supermarket on March 25.

She returned to the store on Dalrymple Street the following day and stole a quantity of confectionary and household items before helping herself to clothes at nearby New Look, it is alleged.

Rae, of Kintyre Terrace, is said to have committed the alleged offences whilst subject to two bail orders.

Defence solicitor Aidan Gallagher tendered pleas of not guilty on his client's behalf, with the case due to be heard in October.
