A BIG-hearted young community champion raised more than £140 for a national charity by selling off her old board games.
Alyssa McLellan, nine, gathered together a selection of boxed activities that she no longer plays with and displayed them on a stall within The James Watt pub in Cathcart Street, Greenock.
With support from her family and friends from school, including young Harry McDonald (pictured), Alyssa raised an amazing £147.74 for Young Lives vs Cancer.
Alyssa, nine, shared the Little Champion of the Year honour with three other youngsters at the Telegraph's Community Champion Awards in June.
The youngster sat in a paddling pool full of beans last year to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer.
Alyssa's mum Amanda said the youngster was thrilled with the amount raised.
She added: "Alyssa had been speaking to us about doing another fundraiser after the beans challenge.
"We're a big board games family and we must have had more than 100 in the house.
"Alyssa was speaking about it in school and a lot of her friends came along to support her on the day.
"She did so well, and we couldn't believe the amount she raised.
"We're all delighted."
