THE CEO of a Greenock charity has paid tribute to former MP Ronnie Cowan after he lost his seat in Thursday’s election.
Chris Paul of Man On Inverclyde took to social media following the result, which saw Labour’s Martin McCluskey replace Mr Cowan of the SNP after nine years as the area’s representative at Westminster.
The charity aims to prevent suicides by enhancing wellbeing and providing relationship-focused and trauma-informed environments which remove the stigma surrounding mental health.

In a post on X, Chris said: “Having had the chance to work with Ronnie Cowan closely through Man On, he has always been somebody I could reach out to for help.
“His wider team have always been brilliant too.
“Good luck to Martin McCluskey – look forward to working together for our members’ mental health.”
