A GREENOCK gambler won big during National Bingo Week and helped secure hundreds of pounds for other players after scooping a £50,000 prize pot.

The Club 3000 customer claimed the huge community prize on June 29 which was then shared out among 150 others who also took part in the game - earning each person £335.

The lucky local lady, who is retired and visits the Container Way venue every Saturday with her friend, was the only player to claim a win on the lowest number of calls in the club.

She scooped the house prize and a jackpot of £1,000 as well as her share of the community Jackpot prize of £50k.

She said: “I was overjoyed when the numbers came up, the money will go towards our holiday to Gran Canaria at the end of the year.”
