THE sound of brass rang out in Port Glasgow as the Riverside Youth Band staged their summer gala concert.
Taking to the stage at Port Glasgow Community Campus, the young musicians were joined by Riverside Training Band and Riverside Rookies at Port Glasgow Community Campus.
Special guests The Co-operation Band also performed on the night, led by John Hinkley.
After entertaining the audience with their programmes, the bands joined forces for a massed finale – with more than 60 musicians taking to the stage.
Riverside Youth Band’s musical director Mark Good said: “The sight - and sound - of Riverside Youth Band members alongside the esteemed cooperation band players, will live long in the memory.
“This is an experience they will treasure for years to come.
"Thank you to the excellent audience for coming to support our concert."
The band rehearses at Port Glasgow New Parish Church on Friday afternoons, with more young brass and percussion players welcome to get involved.
