A MAN is accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside his vehicle in the parking lot of a Greenock fast food restaurant nearly four years ago.
James Conway is charged with intentionally attempting to cause the alleged victim to participate in a sexual activity without her consent at the car park of McDonald’s on James Watt Way.
The Crown claims that the 41-year-old accused, who lives in Dundee, held the woman’s leg, privates and breast over her clothing and demanded that she place her hand on his genitals over his clothing.
The alleged offence is said to have been committed on November 20, 2020.
Conway, represented by solicitor Paul Cook, denies the charge and has lodged a special defence of consent.
A further pre-trial hearing will take place at Greenock Sheriff Court next week.
