AN influential board making crucial decisions about health and social care in Inverclyde has a new vice chair.

Business graduate David Gould was voted in to the role on the Inverclyde Integrated Joint board to replace the outgoing chair Alan Cowan.

He will now step up while Councillor Robert Moran remains as chairman of the board.

Mr Gould has sat on the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board since February 2022 and was appointed to the integrated joint board.

A graduate of Strathclyde Uni's business school, he is a chartered accountant and has spent his career in the public sector with financial roles in Scottish Enterprise and NHS 24.

Outside of work, he is a sports journalist and photographer.
