CONFUSED train passengers have been told that ScotRail’s temporary timetable is NOT yet being used on its app and website.

The rail operator announced yesterday that a reduced service would be introduced across the network from today due to fewer drivers than normal being available for overtime and rest day working.

The move comes as drivers’ union recommends to its executive committee a ballot for industrial action over pay.

Last night, ScotRail said its app and website would not show the updated timetable until 3am due to the volume of changes being made at once.

In a social media post this morning, the operator said: “Unfortunately due to a National Rail issue our app and website does not reflect our new temporary timetable.

“We are very sorry to those who were waiting to check their services this morning.

“As soon as we have more information, we will provide an update.”
