STAFF and residents at Kincaid House enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of activities to celebrate a successful visit from care home inspectors.
The Greenock care home’s bosses decided to throw the outdoor bash after the team received glowing feedback from officials during a recent Care Inspectorate visit.
As well as partying together, residents and staff also took part in sports day activities while sitting outside in the summer sunshine.
Tasty treats were served up from the barbecue as competitors took part in eggs and spoons races, a baton relay, sack races, tug-of-war and more.

Kincaid House’s manager, Anne Gardner, told the Telegraph that she and her deputy manager Alison Bradley were immensely proud of their team.
She said: “We had our inspection from the Care Inspectorate at the tail end of last month and it went really well, it was very positive.
“We increased our grades to three fives and two fours which is amazing for a big home like this, those grades are hard to get.
“However, the team here in Kincaid have worked very hard here over the last year.
“When the inspection team were in they saw the massive improvements we’ve made.
“It’s just a day to celebrate Team Kincaid.
“The camaraderie between all the teams and all the departments here is second to none.
“Mealmore’s motto is it’s a great place to live and it’s a great place to work and that’s exactly what Kincaid is.”
Anne said she had seen the staff at Kincaid go from strength to strength since she arrived at the care home three years ago.
She added: “We’re moved miles in that time.
“We’re a new management team, myself and Alison, and we’ve been working flat out to help.
“The general feeling of the home for everyone, all of the staff, is excellent.
“We know that we’re all striving to be the best and push forward.
“Getting something like this makes all the blood, sweat and tears worth it.
“I’m so proud of each and every single member of the team here, we couldn’t have got where we are without them.”
