A GREENOCK theatre school will welcome an original cast member of hit musical Six to its summer camp next week.
The Theatre School of Scotland’s local branch will host offer young performers the chance to step into the world of the West End hit at Songbird Studios from Monday.
Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, Six is a modern retelling of the lives of Henry VIII’s wives.
The four day camp will immerse participants in the tales and music of the six queens, with parents and guardians being invited to attend a finale performance at the end of the week.
There will be a special guest appearance by Christina Modestou, who played Anne Boleyn in the original production of Six in 2018.
Since then, the Welsh performer has gone on to star in productions such as Little Shop of Horrors, Shrek the Musical, and Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World.
TSOS Principal Reece Donnelly said: "We are excited to bring the magic of Six The Musical to our summer camp.
“This camp not only provides exceptional training in acting, singing, and dancing but also fosters a sense of empowerment and creativity inspired by the incredible queens of the show.
"Bringing in performers with industry experience is a great way for the kids to get motivated and excited about careers in the performing arts.
"We want our students to be the best therefore we have to bring in the best and Christina is just that.”
Since launching its Greenock classes in September last year, TSOS has put on two shows at the Beacon Arts Centre.
Inverclyde students recently joined members of the Edinburgh and Glasgow schools on a ‘once in a lifetime’ trip to Los Angeles, where they performed at a number of iconic spots.
The Six summer camp is open to both TSOS members and those interested in joining.
