A GREENOCK nature trail has been shut for safety reasons until repair work is carried out.
Inverclyde Council has confirmed that the route through Cornalees is temporarily closed due to issues with sections of the boardwalk.
The council said repairs will be completed as soon as possible.
The rest of the Cut, including the visitor centre, remains open.
A social media update from Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park said that rangers recently found a section of the walk that ‘raised concerns about safety’.
They added: “Unfortunately, the area in question can't be gotten around so closing is our only option.
“We will post updates as [soon as] we know what will be happening, but in the meantime would ask that you please refrain from walking the nature trail.”
