PEOPLE can find out more about the roles women played in the domestic electrification of the nation at a talk in Greenock on Friday.
Inverclyde Heritage Network will welcome engineering historian Dr Nina Baker OBE to the Watt Institution to present 'Scotswomen in an electrically-minded country: the Electrical Association for Women (EAW) in Inverclyde'.
Nina will reveal the history of the EAW and speak about the campaigns and social events which ran in Inverclyde after the association was set up in 1924.
Attendees will hear how the association helped thousands of women become comfortable with using electricity in their homes.
The event begins at 1pm and everyone is welcome.
