A GREENOCK woman is due to face a jury trial next month accused of scarring a taxi driver for life.

Nicole Bradley, 26, is charged with assaulting the man by repeatedly striking him on the head and body with a bag containing a blunt object to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.

The alleged incident is said to have taken place on Nelson Street on August 1, 2022.

Bradley, of Broomhill Way, also faces a charge of obtaining the hire of a taxi from John Wood Street in Port Glasgow to Nelson Street without paying or intending to pay a fare of £9.50.

She is due to stand trial at Greenock Sheriff Court on August 12.
