A GOUROCK DJ wowed thousands of fans as he played a spectacular set at Scotland’s biggest music festival.

Music producer Bruce Glenny put on a show for a 15,000-strong crowd at TRNSMT’s ‘Boogie Bar’ last Sunday in what was his fourth appearance at the music festival.

The 24-year-old performed for over an hour and played eight of his own tracks, including his own musical opening with an edit of his hit ‘Yes Baby Yes’.

The talented young musician told the Tele that he had the time of his life playing the big gig.

He said: “We had the busiest DJ set of the weekend I think, we had around 15,000 people there.

“The festival itself had fully sold out so there were over 50,000 people each day.

“The set was amazing, we had hundreds of messages from people who said they were coming to see us for the first time in ages.

“It was crazy being up on the stage and looking out and seeing loads of Morton tops, which was mad.

“It was probably the best set I’ve played in my life and people were messaging me afterwards saying the confidence was different in me.

“I know how to plan my shows better and we played eight of my own songs that are just finished.

“It was quite cool, I came off stage and then the same day I watched Chase & Status and Calvin Harris who I really look up to.

“But it’s strange because now I compare myself to them now than just being a fan boy – I watch their set and start visualising the differences between what they do and what I do.

“I want to thank Craig Johnston and Colin Rodger from DF Concerts along with Harry Miller from Forty Clothing for their support.

“The festival was unbelievable, and I was treated amazingly.”

While the Gourock was impressing gig goers at TRNSMT, 160 miles away Inverclyde music group The Laurettes were debuting a new remix they had collaborated with on Bruce.

Bruce said he was delighted to be working with other local artists and was looking forward to collaborating with the group further in the near future.

He added: “We’re going to Inverness on the 24th for Belladrum Festival with the Laurettes, which’ll be the the first time I’ve played there, so that’s exciting,

“We’ll also be playing at Ardgowan Distillery’s open day on September 7, which will be the first time we’ve performed our track together locally.

“That’ll probably be the last time I perform locally for the rest of the year, which is mad.

“The support I’ve had from local people is incredible, at TRNSMT there were so many new faces and I had people asking for pictures with me. I had to pinch myself.

“It’s been brilliant and I’m looking forward to what’s next.”
