FANS of traditional music will hear some of the most exciting bands on the circuit at a popular annual event in Dunoon next month.
The legendary live music tent is back at the Cowal Gathering for 2024 and promises to be one of the celebration's biggest attractions.
This year's festival - led by chieftan Greenock actor Martin Compston - will run from Thursday, August 29 to Saturday, August 31, and the live music tent will be a fixture on the final day.
Uist band Beinn Lee, who led the proceedings at last year's Gig at the Gathering, are set to headline the tent.
The six-piece band will be supported by The Inverhooley Ceilidh Band, Ceòl An Aire, and Abigail Pryde.
This year's event will celebrate 130 years of the Gathering.
Speaking on behalf of the Cowal Gathering board, Fraser McCowan said he was excited to see such a wealth of musical talent on show.
He said: "Music is an essential part of the Cowal Gathering and this year's live music offerings are not to be missed."
