AN OPEN day hit the right note with residents at a Port Glasgow care home.
Newark Care Home held the event to invite families to have a look around to meet the staff and see the facilities.
They invited singer Stevie B along, and residents and staff sang along or took to the floor for a dance.
Manager Nicola Watt, said: "We thought it would be a good idea to have an open day, let people see what we do, meet the staff and have a look at a guest room.
"We have 61 residents, all are over 65 and our oldest resident is 103 - we have more than 100 staff, care, nursing, domestic and catering workers.
"We also have an activities co-ordinator. There are activities on every day of the week, bingo is popular and we also have events in the summer in the garden."
If anyone is interested in finding out more about the care home, they should call Nicola on 705800.
