A COMMUNITY project in Greenock is launching a new Dementia Friendly cafe.

Lyle Gateway has been supporting carers and people living with dementia and Alzheimer's since launching more than a decade ago.

Now they are setting up the Embracing Memories memory cafe at the Lyle Kirk on Monday.

It started with a dementia friendly singing workshop led by their health and wellbeing leader.

There will also be music from the 50s and 60s throughout the session, as well as space set aside for support and advice for carers with Alzheimer's Scotland advisor Elaine Edgar.

The cafe is open on Monday July 22 from noon until 3pm at the Lyle Kirk, 31 Union Street,Greenock.
