AN old skool disco has hit the right note with youngsters at summer camp.
Children enjoyed doing the Time Warp and other tunes at the fun bash.
The kids strutted their stuff at an afternoon party, with local DJ John Scott on the decks, as part of the free summer playscheme programme.
The sessions are running at St Michael's Primary in Port Glasgow over the school holidays and they include a free lunch.
Kirsty Higgins, leader in charge, said: "We've had a great response, we've had 62 children at one session.
"We are doing lunches here, and the other morning we had 43 kids here and 40 for lunch.
"The free lunch really helps parents. It is also available at St Patrick's as well."
The fun sessions are open to five to 12-year-olds and those starting Primary 1 in August.
Kirsty said: "We try to do something different every day. We had a Scotland day where everyone was asked to wear blue.
"We also had a wee Highland dancer, Mollie Campbell, who is only five, who came along and gave us a demonstration and she did a question and answer session and showed kids how to do the dances.
"It's been great fun.
"We've had kids from quite a few schools coming along, so a lot of them know each other."
Kirsty said that when the weather was good the kids have been outside, they've used the Muga pitch for football and the outside space has also been used to allow them to play with frisbees and hula hoops.
Kirsty is supported by four helpers and the sessions run from 9.30am to 12.30pm, then lunch, and from 2.30pm and 4.30pm.
Playschemes are run by Inverclyde Leisure and funded by Inverclyde Council.
