A POLICE-mad six-year-old who is visiting every division in Scotland as part of a charity fundraising effort for the Police Benevolent Fund was in Inverclyde and Renfrewshire yesterday.
Anthony Green from Fife has undertaken a series of trips this month and is set to visit around 50 police stations all over the country.
Anthony had a tour round the different stations locally, got to go on the police boat and tried out the sirens on the police quad bikes.
Anthony has been a regular face at his local police station in Glenrothes which he visits with dad William every Friday to give a wave and a smile to those on shift.
Anthony has so far raised more than £1,000 for the Police Benevolent Fund and is well into his tour.
Along the way he’s collecting puzzle pieces and getting to see all sorts of police vehicles, equipment and systems.
Even though the fundraising involves some very long days, Anthony has remained upbeat and is excited to meet as many officers as possible.
In his own words he says he’s taken on the challenge to 'raise money for charity' because 'I get to give something back'.
The youngster is now setting his sights on becoming a police officer himself...in a few years time.
