AN award-winning giant luxury sailing yacht is dominating a Greenock dock this week on a short stopover in the town.
Gitana, built in New Zealand by Fitzroy Yachts and delivered in 2009, moored at James Watt Dock Marina on Sunday evening.
The 45m-long vessel, which carries up to eight guests and a crew of six, was designed by Dubois Naval Architects and received two Best Sailing Yacht awards having previously been named Palmira and Salperton.
The yacht, with interiors designed by Adam Lay Studio, features two small pools on board and can reach a top speed of 15 knots.
