SUPER swimmers of all ages took to the waves in Gourock outdoor pool today to stay cool in the warm weather.
The popular outdoor facility was full of water babies of all ages who had decided to take the plunge.
The Telegraph went along to chat to some swimmers.
Youngsters Leah and Lewie Lauffer were at the pool with their mum Lisa.
Lisa said: "This is their first time here and they're loving it.
"They woke up this morning and said they were determined to go to the pool.
"I'm pleased to see it so busy."
Jennifer McEwan and her daughter Isabella, and Suzanne MacDonald and her daughters Thea and Maisie enjoyed having a delightful dip in the waves.
Suzanne said: "We were going to go to Inverkip beach but opted to stay in Gourock and we're really glad we did."
Friends Janice Renfrew and Wilma Morrison said it was great to see people of all ages using the pool.
Janice said: "It's a fantastic facility for Inverclyde. I'm here quite a lot.
"It's amazing on a day like this but it's even nice when it's rainy."
A dedicated team from Inverclyde Leisure were on-hand to make sure everyone was enjoying the day.
Lifeguard Charlie McCallum said: "The pool makes people feel like they're on holiday when they're still at home.
"We're hoping to see more days like this and hope the weather holds up."
