A TEAM of swimmers have begun their Loch Lomond relay effort in aid of Ardgowan Hospice.

Fiona Conway, head of finance and HR at the hospice, is taking on the 22.6-mile challenge along with Caroline Ross, George Walsh, Laura McDonald and Johanna Russell.

Having set off from Balloch early this morning, the swimmers hope to cover the length of the loch in 16 hours.

The team hope to raise a total of £5,000 for the hospice, with their JustGiving page currently sitting at around £3,800.
