A PRISONER is to stand trial charged with uttering transphobic and homophobic remarks within HMP Greenock.
Jayney Sutherley, 50, is accused of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner at the prison’s Darroch Hall between January 1 2019 and March 21 last year.
She is alleged to have repeatedly uttered offensive remarks, sexual remarks and threats of violence, as well as inciting others to do the same and make spurious complaints.
Sutherley, an inmate at HMP Edinburgh, is due to stand trial at Greenock Sheriff Court on August 12.
