BBC film crews have been spotted at an Inverclyde estate shooting scenes for an upcoming television production.
Further details of the programme being filmed are being kept under wraps for the time being - but the Telegraph understands that a team is currently on site filming around the Old Laundry building within the 140 acres of woodlands, formal gardens and play areas on offer at the Port Glasgow site.
A notice to visitors, shared on the estate's social media channels earlier this week, said: "BBC Studios is making a film production on the estate which is scheduled for release later this year.
"They will be here up to Friday and you may catch a glimpse of what they are up to, but please keep quiet around the filming areas and be mindful of their work."
The Old Laundry, previously converted for use as a tearoom, can now be hired out as an events space for parties of up to 40 people, according to the venue's website.
A spokesperson for the estate said: "It’s very exciting and wonderful that Finlaystone has been used for filming, showcasing the beautiful location in Inverclyde."
The Tele has asked the BBC for more information on the production.
