CALMAC have paid tribute to MV Argyle’s chief engineer as he retires from his role.
John McKenna has served with the ferry operator for fourteen years, and recently worked on board the vessel assigned to the Wemyss Bay-Rothesay route.
On his retirement, John said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with CalMac – in my view, an outstanding company to work for.
“And I’m proud to have worked for what I feel is one of the true traditional UK shipping companies.
“Having left Scotland at the age of three, it’s been nice to finish my time here.
“Driving to work through the Highlands was a great way to start a shift, often bagging the odd Munro on the way home!”
