AN Inverclyde indie rock band are celebrating the release of their new single with two high profile gigs.

Strange Dimensions released Occasions earlier this month and are now preparing to take to the stage at two musical spectaculars.

The Greenock-based five-piece will be playing at the Y Not Festival in Derbyshire, which runs from August 2 to 4.

They are also on the bill for The Gathering Sounds in Country Durham which takes place on September 28.

Strange Dimensions have played at iconic venues including King Tut's, Òran Mór, and SWG3, and have shared the stage with artists including Kyle Falconer, Shambolics, and Spyres.

Their new single, Occasions, showcases a harmonised approach to male and female vocals.

Frontman Paul Leslie said: "We hope with the change, progression and versatility we show in this song, we can reach a bigger and broader audience.

"I think it shows what we’re capable of and the direction we want to move in."
