DRIVERS are facing lengthy delays this afternoon as roadworks begin on the A8.
Scottish Water works are underway on Port Glasgow Road near its junction with Pottery Street.
Motorists have reported significant tailbacks, with a temporary traffic light system currently in place.
Information from the Scottish Road Works Commissioner indicates that the work relates to a manhole cover and is expected to last two days.
The Telegraph has contacted Scottish Water for comment.
