A NEW group for those affected by another’s drug or alcohol use is due to host its first meeting next week.

The SMART Recovery Friends and Family group will meet on Monday from 1pm-3pm at Moving On Inverclyde’s Jamaica Street base.

The meetings will cover topics such as positive communication, boundaries and self-care.

Throughout the programme, the group will explore different tools and methods to help its members look after themselves while establishing healthier relationships with their loved ones.
