MEMBERS of Greenock’s Coastguard Rescue Team bolstered their skills during a visit to Largs Lifeboat Station this week.
The crew joined teams from Cumbrae and Ardrossan for familiarisation training, allowing newer recruits to get an insight into the daily running of the RNLI station.
Largs Lifeboat’s operations manager and launch authority spoke with the Coastguard teams about the equipment they carry on board and how their crew train on a weekly basis.
The visitors were given a tour of the station and also had the opportunity to the on the Atlantic 85 lifeboat.
Greenock CRT said: “It was a fantastic experience and one we were grateful for.
“We thank the Largs crew for letting us be a small part of what they do everyday.”
