FAMILIES from all over Greenock raised almost £2,000 for care home residents at a sunshine-filled fete.
The team at Kincaid House held a summer fun day to celebrate the good weather and provide fun and entertainment for residents and their relatives.
Ticket sales from the raffle and tombola, together with donations on the day, generated an incredible £1,800 for the home.
The money will help with the cost of an interactive tablet which the team are aiming to buy for residents.
Kincaid House manager Anne Gardner said the event was the home's busiest and best yet.
She added: "It was such a beautiful day and we're absolutely thrilled with the amount we raised.
"Our activity team were amazing at pulling it all together and we had the weather on our side.
"We have a fete in the summer and at Christmas and we always receive great support from the community.
"Staff came in on their days off and relatives spent the whole day with us."
The team at the home assembled an amazing array of activities for the day, including a raffle, tombola and games for the youngsters, and a lot of food was cooked up on the barbecue.
There was face painting and a bouncy castle, and Bunny & Co brought their mobile petting zoo.
Some of the raffle prizes included vouchers for Next and The Gleddoch, and a Morton signed football.
Anne said it was great for the residents to get out in the good weather.
She added: "The residents all loved it and all enjoyed a wee glass of wine.
"It's so important for our residents to get outside and enjoy socialising with their families."
A team from Morton Girls under 14s volunteered on the day and manned some stalls, and there was a dynamic performance from The Dance Collective.
Pupils in P5 at Aileymill Primary provided cowboy bunting for the day, and the bouncy castle was provided by The Castle Company.
Anne thanked everyone who came along to support the home, and everyone who donated the amazing prizes.
Anne said: "It was really, really busy, and there was a nice buzz about the home.
"Everyone helped us make the day a great success. A lovely day was had by all."
