A NEW ‘big swing’ has been reinstalled in a Greenock playpark following a councillor's request.
A basket swing has returned to the park at Burns Square in Larkfield after SNP Councillor James Daisley told the Telegraph in June of the urgent repairs that the outdoor space needed.
Alongside a new swing, Cllr Daisley called for repairs to be done on the safety gates surrounding the park that lead directly onto Burns Road.

In a post on X, Cllr Daisley said: “After a long time of me chasing this with Inverclyde Council, and a long wait for the parts required, at last - we have a replacement ‘big swing’ at the swing park at Burns Square in Larkfield.”
Council chiefs previously told the Tele that parts for faulty gates at the park had also been ordered and were due to be repaired around the same time.
