AN INVERCLYDE gardening group are appealing for volunteers to help build planters at a primary school this weekend.
Blooming Inverkip will install four large raised bed planters at Inverkip Primary on Sunday.
The facilities, funded by the UK Government and Invergrow, will be used to grow fruit and vegetables.
Blooming Inverkip hopes to be at the school from 10am on the day.
In a social media post, the group said: “Community volunteering is very rewarding and as we have sometimes found out that to lift yourself up and make progress you can achieve this by helping to lift up someone else.”
