CREATIVE organisations across Inverclyde which support children and young people living in poverty are being encouraged to apply for a share of a £500,000 funding pot.
The Young Arts Open Fund supports freelance artists and organisations, and helps them deliver 'high-quality and accessible arts activities' to youngsters who find it hard to access opportunities.
Freelance artists can apply for funding up to £8,000, and organisations can apply for up to £15,000.
The money should be used to deliver free community-based arts activities.
The fund is administered by YouthLink Scotland, and funded by the Scottish Government through Creative Scotland.
Applications should be made at www.youthlink.scot/national-grant-programmes/youth-arts-open-fund/ before September 5.
