TRAINS to and from Inverclyde were disrupted this afternoon following reports of a trespasser on the railway line.
ScotRail announced it was responding to reports of a person on the line between Paisley Gilmour Street and Paisley St James shortly after 12:15pm.
The rail operator said it was working with emergency services to 'get them away from the line safely'.
Trains services between Glasgow Central and Gourock/Wemyss Bay
The incident saw trains between Glasgow Central and Gourock/Wemyss Bay disrupted for a short period.
In an update to passengers, ScotRail said: "The person is now in the care of the emergency services and the lines have reopened."
ScotRail expects disruption on the Inverclyde routes to last until around 2pm.
