A NEW musical inspired by a real-life protest is set to visit Greenock on its tour of Scotland later this year.
To Save The Sea will visit venues around the country between September 25 and November 2.
The musical, created by Isla Cowan and Andy McGregor, is described as a tale of ‘ordinary people doing extraordinary things’.
It is based on the story of group of activists who occupied the Brent Spar oil storage facility in the North Sea in 1995.
As their campaign gains momentum, pressure mounts on those in power and political battles ensue both at sea and on land.
Sleeping Warrior Theatre Company will bring the show to the Beacon Arts Centre for performances on October 21 and 22.
Tickets are on sale now at beaconartscentre.co.uk.
