A STAR of stage and screen is set to delight Inverclyde crowds with an intimate show in Greenock next year.

West End favourite John Barrowman is bringing his all-new production – described as an “intimate look at his life and career in song” – to the Beacon Arts Centre in early 2025.

Featuring songs from Broadway classics to contemporary hits, as well as Barrowman’s personal stories and infectious energy, the event is part of the actor, singer, dancer and all-round entertainer’s 46-date UK tour.

The Beacon is one of seven Scottish venues lined up to host the show as part of the tour, which starts in October and concludes at the end of March.

Barrowman has appeared in Desperate Housewives, presented shows on the BBC, and played a starring role in the broadcaster’s Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood.

He has also featured in Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing on Ice, as well as appearing in pantos and releasing an autobiography alongside sci-fi/fantasy novels.

Tickets for the 2025 dates, including the Beacon show, will go on sale on Monday, August 12 at 10am.
