FERRY passengers are being reminded that CalMac’s Wemyss Bay sailings will be busier than normal this weekend as Bute Highland Games returns.
The event will take place on Saturday, with pipe bands, Highland dancers and heavy athletes competing for a range of titles at Rothesay’s Stadium.
CalMac is urging passengers to buy tickets online and plan ahead as first choice sailings may not be available on the day.
Competitions will begin at 10am, with the final parade due to start at approximately 5:15pm.
This chieftain of this year’s event will be broadcaster and Gaelic musician Joy Dunlop.
