A PORT Glasgow-based business has been granted retrospective permission to use an area of farmland as a dog exercising field and car park.
A partially retrospective change of use application seeking approval to use the land off Dougliehill Road for a new purpose had been lodged with Inverclyde Council.
The application also sought permission for a 1.8m high fence around the business and car park.
The applicant stated in their application that they were unaware planning permission would be required for the changes made, and said all work on site had been halted.
Planners have now given the proposals their approval.
