COMMUTERS faced disruption on the railway this morning after a fallen tree blocked the train line between Glasgow and Wemyss Bay.
Services were unable to run on the route for a short period while Network Rail staff attended the site.
During this time, services from terminated and started back from Port Glasgow.
A yellow weather warning for wind was in place in Inverclyde overnight, with the Met Office highlighting the possibility of travel delays.
ScotRail said: “Network Rail Scotland staff on site have now removed the tree from the line and we can now run trains normally.
“There may be some delays and alterations whilst we get our services back in place.”
