A TELEVISION presenter has praised staff on Western Ferries sailings between Gourock and Dunoon after facing stormy conditions on his journey across the Clyde.
George Clarke, known for hosting Channel 4’s The Restoration Man and Amazing Spaces, was filming in Argyll and Bute earlier this week and shared a clip of his trip back across to Inverclyde online.
In the TikTok video, the architect said: “I only joined TikTok last week and, I’m sorry, nearly every post I do is about terrible weather.
"Just finished filming in Dunoon in Scotland.

"I’m on the ferry and look at this – this is August."
The footage shows a wave crashing on to the Western Ferries’ vessel’s car deck as it makes its way to Gourock.
George added: “The ferry is great! Full respect to all of those that work on it.”
