A GREENOCK-BORN MSP has revealed he'll be taking a break from social media - after receiving an "endless barrage of abuse".
Jamie Greene, who hails from Gibshill stated that the levels of slander has become intolerable since his involvement in the Scottish Conservative Party leadership race.
Mr Greene pulled out of the race last week, after earlier stating his intention to vie to become Douglas Ross' replacement.
I’ll be taking a wee break from social media. My family and friends are important. Since I got involved in the leadership contest the levels of abuse and endless barrage has been intolerable. People need to think about the fact we are all human, both allies and foes. Be decent.
