AN acclaimed crime writer is set to headline a literary festival at an event in Kilmacolm next month.
Ann Cleeves is appearing 'in conversation with' actor Colin McCreadie at St Columba's Junior School on Thursday, September 12.
Ann created the Detective Chief Inspector Vera Stanhope character which was developed into a series by ITV.
The popular author will be speaking to Colin about the next instalment in the Vera series, The Dark Wives.
Books will be on sale on the night and Ann will be signing copies.
The event is part of the Gryffe Valley Book Festival.
