FAMILIES across Inverclyde can tap into a new programme focused on eating healthily and being more active.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) iS preparing to launch its HENRY initiative, which equips parents and carers with resources to create 'positive lifestyle changes in the context of busy family lives'.
Some of the themes include promoting positive approaches to child healthy weight; increasing knowledge and skills in cooking, food preparation, and budgeting; raising awareness of the benefits and opportunities of being physically active, and encouraging healthy family routines.
Activities will be delivered in communities in partnership with Early Years Scotland (EYS), and PEEK (Possibilities for Each and Every Kid Glasgow).
Families with children aged up to 12 who would like to participate should speak to their health visitor, school nurse, teacher, or support worker, or use the online referral form at nhsggc.scot/your-health/child-and-young-persons-healthy-weight/.
