A POPULAR Greenock town centre restaurant that was refurbished to the tune of £200,000 just five years ago has gone on the market.
Happy Valley, on Westburn Street, is available for a freehold price of £325k, according to online business marketplace Rightbiz.
The Chinese buffet eatery was upgraded and rebranded in 2019 having previously operated as Jade Palace.
The current owners have held the property for around 20 years and leased it out for much of that time, with the restaurant turning over more than £10k between Thursday and Monday each week.
The sale listing states: “The business trades exceptionally well in its current format and would suit a Chinese operator, however, it is felt that given the stylish and contemporary fit-out it could easily be adapted to suit a different cuisine style or concept without much expense.
“It is currently set up as a buffet restaurant, however, if the buffet section was removed, it could accommodate an additional 20 covers.”
Taking up part of the ground floor of the two-storey building, the restaurant currently has space for around 80 sit-in customers.
