Photographers in Inverclyde have shared numerous amazing photographs of the Queen Mary 2 visiting Greenock today.

Cunard's flagship liner docked in the Ocean Terminal for the first time in almost a decade.

Many local snappers were keen to capture a shot of the large vessel in the sunshine, with many praising the stunning ship.

The Telegraph has selected some of our favourite Camera Club photos from the day to share.

The Queen Mary 2, which can take up to 2,700 passengers, docked at the Ocean Terminal on a 12-day sail around the British Isles.

The cruise liner departed Greenock just after 6pm on Thursday, September 5 and headed south to Liverpool.

She is one of two Cunard vessels to visit Greenock this summer, with the brand new Queen Anne having already made two stops in June and July.
