A MASSIVE Disney cruise ship is making its second-ever visit to Inverclyde tomorrow.

The 130,000-tonne Disney Dream is scheduled to arrive in the early hours of Tuesday morning before departing late afternoon/early evening.

The spectacular ship’s most eye-catching feature is the large stainless steel and fibreglass figure of Mickey Mouse on its stern, .

The ship is due to arrive amid a seven-day round trip cruise around Britain and can carry up to 4,000 passengers.

At 1,115 feet, Disney Dream is longer than the height of the Eiffel Tower, and can play classic tunes from Disney’s popular films on her horn.

When she made her maiden visit to Inverclyde last year, hundreds of locals flocked to Greenock’s Esplanade to see her off.

The bystanders who braved heavy rain to watch her depart were treated to short blasts of songs such as 'When You Wish Upon A Star' and 'A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes' on the ship’s sound system as she sailed away.

Inverclyde has previously been visited by another Disney ship, the smaller Disney Magic.

Tomorrow will be Disney Dream’s second stop on her seven-day cruise, with the vessel still set to visit Liverpool, Cork and the Isle of Portland before finishing her voyage in Southampton.
